Scientists appointed by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources compile the work based on various combinations of methods, taking into account scientific fundamentals and information. This volume begins with geological preliminary investigations such as mapping and fieldwork, and then provides readers with detailed information on exploration methods for loose and solid rocks and groundwater conditions, as well as sampling techniques and non-destructive core examinations. A substantial section is dedicated to determining rock permeability using hydraulic borehole tests. Finally, isotopic hydrological and geostatistical methods are explained.
