This study book encourages questioning one's own foreign language teaching and its practices. It introduces central aspects of a critical foreign language didactics aimed at bringing socially relevant topics into a classroom that motivates learners and encourages active engagement against social injustice. (Aspiring) teachers develop a critical distance from the traditional subjects of foreign language teaching, reflect on their own professionalization process, and develop innovations for their teaching.
