Students with special educational needs have a wide range of learning prerequisites and competencies. Therefore, teaching must be adapted to the individual learning possibilities and take into account the uniqueness of each child as well as their learning needs. Action-oriented learning is a central didactic principle here: competence development is only possible where learning is intertwined with active, practical engagement and cognitive understanding. When students experience something through action and engage all their senses, motivation increases, leading to more sustainable learning, knowledge, and competence development.
