Tambo is tired of being the smallest. After all, he's an elephant. He wants to prove to the others that he is already big, but his plan doesn't work. When he disappointedly trots back to his herd, all the big elephants are standing there and in the middle his mummy. Tall and grey and lovely as ever. Next to her stands Tambo's newborn little sister. Tambo feels right down to the tip of her trunk how good it feels to be expected and needed as a big brother. And he thinks it's great that his sister is the smallest of the herd.
