In Tunis and the Wild West, the first part of this three-volume novel takes place. It depicts the fates of a German family, whose members have been scattered across the world due to the schemes of criminals. Once again, the eccentric Sir David Lindsay is part of the story. This narrative is set in the first half of the 1870s. It is an adaptation of the serialized novel "German Hearts - German Heroes," written in 1885/1886. Sequels to "The Dervish" include "In the Valley of Death" (Volume 62) and "Zobel Hunter and Cossack" (Volume 63). The title is also available as an eBook.
