It is largely undisputed that the integration machine of the city is currently facing a severe strain and that the social city is increasingly grappling with regulatory issues. It appears to be becoming more difficult to maintain the already fragile relationship between urban integration and disintegration in a sustainable balance without significant internal and external damage. There are various indications that it is not necessarily the immediate physical violence that is increasingly erupting in public spaces and thus becoming noticeable, but rather that the potential for violence justification or readiness may already be embedded in the structure of social coexistence.
