Based on 20 guided interviews and expert surveys, the violence careers of female adolescents are presented. The focus is on the struggle for recognition of violent girls who cope with their victim experiences and biographical downward spirals by asserting themselves as honorable victors in conflict situations through the use of violence. The findings presented regarding exits from the violence career provide insights for educational violence prevention. This study is intended as a foundational theoretical work that addresses significant deficits in the research on female youth violence and fills important knowledge gaps on the subject of research with its results.
