The "Encyclopedia of German History" has been published since 1988. The complete work consists of approximately 100 volumes, each about 150 pages long. All volumes are structured similarly, including: an encyclopedic overview, fundamental problems and trends in research, and a systematically organized bibliography. Each volume is self-contained. This freely compilable handbook on German history provides an in-depth introduction to one's own scholarly work. The most important information is presented in a condensed form.
