There are still many secrets and puzzles in the history of humanity. Even our ancestors from previous centuries wondered how supposedly primitive peoples of antiquity could construct massive structures like the pyramids, temples, or Gothic cathedrals. These buildings would pose significant technical challenges for us today if we wanted to replicate them. This book attempts to find a seamless connection from the beginning of ancient architecture to the 18th century. When examining all the structures from this time period, there are no similarities in appearance or in the individual tasks of the buildings. However, upon closer inspection, there is at least one commonality: the Golden Ratio - the number phi (1.61803399). The builders of antiquity utilized it as a universal proportion.
