After the so-called Fall from Grace, God delivered the Sepher Raziel to Adam, also known as the Book of the Angel Raziel or Adam's Book. The angel Raziel served as the mediator between God and Adam. He is one of the seven archangels of Kabbalah. His name means "Secret of God." In addition to a moral teaching, the text conveys the use of God's names, astronomical and astrological knowledge, as well as universal connections. Angelic hierarchies, as well as associations of the days of the week, planets, and the human body, are discussed. All of this, along with the overall purpose of the Book of Raziel, was to enable Adam to find his way back to Paradise.
