Does something need to change among Muslims in Germany? Many would likely answer this question with "Yes." There seems to be enough reason for criticism of Islam. Unfortunately, many misuse this as a vehicle for pure resentment. However, this should not lead to dismissing any form of criticism and painting an overly rosy picture of lived Islam. Both attitudes are problematic and are therefore the subject of a comprehensive two-volume book project. While the already published volume "Islamophobia" documents various aspects of European hatred of Islam from past centuries to today's online hate, the present book "Islam glorification" shows how reasonable criticism of Islam can look without generalization, populism, and polemics. Established experts openly address theological challenges and point out issues within the Muslim community.
