At first, Martin Ebel, who lives as a mountain bike guide in La Palma, doesn't take the matter seriously. His colleague and friend Miquel has seemingly vanished after leading a bike tour with several tourists. Ebel believes Miquel will turn up again. However, this turns out to be a fatal misjudgment. Together with his boss Siggi, Ebel finds Miquel's body in the mountains of the small Canary Island. Ebel cannot believe that Miquel could have had a bike accident. Suddenly, strange things come to light that develop a murderous dynamic.
