Landshut in the summer of 2009. While hundreds of thousands in the city celebrate the "Landshut Wedding," 82-year-old Irma Schwand is confronted with a devastating diagnosis: Alzheimer's dementia. Fearing for her memories, Irma hires Munich ghostwriter Kea Laverde to write her autobiography, intended for her granddaughter Julika. However, shortly after Kea gathers all the information for the slim book about Irma's life story, the girl is found murdered. The detectives discover a suspicious CD with unknown software at Julika's, who participated as a performer in the "Landshut Wedding." But Kea also makes a disturbing discovery: Irma has been covering up a murder for decades—a crime that occurred in the final weeks of World War II. And the cocoon of forgetfulness is tightening ever more around the elderly lady...
