Chief Commissioner Wolfram Tannenberg is eagerly anticipating the event of the year. Germany's most popular quiz show is coming to his hometown. His family is joining him: his father, brother, and nephew are participating as a contestant team in the sold-out town hall. In the midst of the live broadcast, a ruthless blackmailer contacts them, demanding the grand prize of 10 million euros. He claims to have planted several explosives in the building's basement and threatens to detonate them. When two bombs explode near the hall, Tannenberg realizes that he has little time left to prevent a catastrophe.
