In the medieval town of Murten, the decisive battle of the Burgundian Wars of 1476, where the Confederates fought against the army of Charles the Bold, is being reenacted for film shoots. Joining the event is the Bernese detective agency Müller & Himmel. After a tumultuous day of shooting, a dead body is found on the battlefield, reigniting the activity of the quartet led by Heinrich Müller, whose current workload is not exactly thriving. However, a stolen tapestry, disturbing crop circles, and dark tales from the time of the witch hunts continually present new puzzles for the investigators.
