Strange things are happening in the environment of the Thomanerchor: The grave of Johann Sebastian Bach in the St. Thomas Church in Leipzig is opened, and the composer's right hand goes missing. The next morning, several choir members fall ill, and for the first time in the 800-year history of the Thomaner, the Easter celebrations must be canceled. Commissioners Kroll and Wiggins initially fumble in the dark until two young singers get involved in the investigation.
