Singen at Hohentwiel. Two bizarre murders shake the city. But even in distant Vienna, they have a shocking impact: Mario Palinski realizes that the killings occurred exactly as he described them in his yet unpublished crime novel. Alarmed by this discovery, he and his friend Anselm Wiegele, a chief inspector at the Singen criminal police, investigate this absurd coincidence. In the process, they stumble upon a planned killer Olympics in Las Vegas for the fall. Confused by this seemingly unreal idea, Palinski and Wiegele find themselves increasingly drawn into the world of organized crime.
