Rudi Kost, born in Stuttgart, is a trained journalist who spent many years as an editor at daily newspapers, including as the head of the culture section. He has long worked as a freelance author and publisher. Kost has published radio features, school radio series, audio plays, PC technical books, and much more. Additionally, he led the Koval Verlag, which he co-founded, specializing in travel literature, and wrote several travel guides himself. His crime series featuring the insurance agent Dillinger is set in Schwäbisch Hall and its surroundings. With the investigative duo Annalena Bock and Karlheinz Dobler, a new chapter is opened in the literary crime landscape of Hohenlohe. The author lives in a small village near Schwäbisch Hall.
