All of Floridsdorf is eagerly anticipating the derby between the local football clubs "Floridsdorfer Kickers" and "Eintracht Floridsdorf" this coming Sunday morning. Café Heller is set to open especially to take advantage of the expected influx of fans - much to the dismay of manager Leopold, who would like to watch the game himself. The major event is overshadowed by the planned merger of the two traditional Viennese football clubs. The supporters of Eintracht are particularly unwilling to accept this and conspire during a meeting at Café Heller against the plans. Ready for a fight, they then march to Eintracht-Platz. When Leopold arrives at the sports field after the tumultuous meeting, the situation has already escalated: Wolfgang Ehrentraut, the strongest advocate of the merger, is found stabbed behind the goal.
