Thirty years ago, Dr. Gottfried Weiss saved the life of Lieselotte Kleinereich, the partner of retired commissioner Rudolf-Günther Böhnke. Out of gratitude, Böhnke promised to always be there for him. Now, Weiss is calling in that promise. There have been deaths during surgeries for which he must answer in court. Böhnke must prove his innocence. Just when he believes he has solved the case, a twist occurs with dramatic consequences.
