Product details

Today, there are only a few remaining adherents of the cosmological fantasies conceived by the successful engineer Hanns Hörbiger (1860-1931) at the beginning of this century. His bizarre worldview posits that the entire Milky Way consists of glittering ice chunks, some of which plunge into the sun, causing massive solar prominences. Shooting stars are also made of ice; they explode upon entering the Earth's atmosphere, resulting in rain and hail weather. Much more interesting than the theory of cosmic ice itself is the fact that several representatives of the Third Reich counted themselves among its supporters. Particularly active in this regard was the amateur scientist and SS leader Heinrich Himmler, who promoted this pseudoscience at the Ahnenerbe, the SS research institution. In contrast, the Nobel laureate Philipp Lenard, a staunch supporter of National Socialism, was one of the most vehement opponents of the theory of cosmic ice. Accompanied by extensive documentation and a list of names.
