Göttliche Weltökonomie
German, Dieter Groh, 2010Product details
"Divine World Economy" is a concept that traces back to Stoicism, which served to philosophically or theologically describe the construction and structure of the universe as a whole. This "Oikonomia" of God, understood as a plan of salvation and simultaneously conceived as a teleologically designed whole of creation, forms the guiding principle of the second volume of Dieter Groh's grand history of the relationships between theology and modern sciences. His fundamental thesis is: Modern sciences did not emerge from a process of secularization, but from the attempt to discover and articulate those divine laws that seemed to determine the regular processes in nature and the human world.
