Product details
The Polish film director Staszek Wandrosch travels to Poland with two friends to visit Zdenek Koziol. Zdenek Koziol, also known as Steve Pollak, was a legendary jazz trumpeter in the 1950s who knew how to truly live. Since Staszek learned that Zdenek is now living in a sleepy Polish village, he wants to find out how his idol from back then is doing.
So the three of them travel to the small Polish town and set out to search for Zdenek, the trumpeter and former bon vivant. He races across the fields on an old single-cylinder Jawa from 1937, at times teetering on the brink of madness, trying to forget the wounds that life has inflicted on him. His old friend from their musician days, Zbigniew Kowalski, whom he brought to the small village, meanwhile poses as a false priest to tend to the spiritual needs of the village. In the end.
