Katharina Hofmann is worried about her missing sister Sara. After the police give her little hope for clarification, she decides to take action herself. She finds clues that lead her to a small town in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. There, she encounters a seemingly perfect village community. However, there are also some oddities: self-appointed sheriffs patrol the streets at night, and the school seems to employ corporal punishment. Katharina cannot suspect that the community is under police surveillance. However, the responsible officer Max Klee is running out of time: if he cannot soon provide evidence that not everything is above board in Granzow, he will lose the case and his informant. That's when Katharina comes in handy...
