Abstract: Psychiatric treatment report from occupational therapy, aimed particularly at aspiring occupational therapists, but also at nurses or caregiving relatives. In the report, I describe the development of a patient who was 58 years old at the beginning of the report and the remarkable changes over the following five years. This is not a student paper, nor is it an internship report, but a practice-oriented treatment and progress report. About the author: Ida Krämer is an occupational therapist, registered nurse, and pediatric nurse, and has been working as a group leader in a workshop for mentally ill individuals since 1998, also involved in the practical training of occupational therapists.
