Abstract: In the context of the course "Multilingual Theater in German Lessons," I dealt with the topic of Brecht's theater theory. First, I will present Brecht's theater theory, which I will later analyze using Brecht's Threepenny Opera. Since a focus of Brecht's theater theory is the transformation of humanity, I particularly concentrate on the prologue, the first act, and the third finale of the Threepenny Opera to illustrate the mutable and transformative human of epic theater through the lens of the Threepenny Opera. Given that music plays a special role in the play, I also include the compositions of Kurt Weill in my analysis.
