This paper initially deals with the concept of nature experience and its significance for child development and environmental protection. Additionally, a method for experiencing nature is presented. The following chapter is dedicated to forest kindergartens. What kind of institution is this? What principles guide its work? After introducing the forest kindergarten institution, suitable games and activities for the forest are presented based on the developmental stage of the kindergarten child. Special attention is also given to the question of whether children in forest kindergartens are less well prepared for primary school. Primary school is also the topic of the fourth chapter.
