Product details
Essay from 2016 in the field of Psychology - Counseling, Therapy, Course: Training, Language: German, Abstract: The concept of solution-focused brief therapy, as I apply it, is fundamentally based on the ideas of Steve de Shazer and systemic therapy. The concepts from systemic therapy break away from traditional therapy in that they are neither monocausal nor deficit-oriented. Here, the focus is not on what the client lacks, but rather on what the client needs in order to become fully functional again. Functional, this term sounds very technical and cold, but it is understood here in the sense that the client is enabled to participate fully and autonomously in societal life. Solution-focused brief therapy is therefore not monocausal.
