Abstract: Social workers are repeatedly confronted in their work in family, child, and youth welfare with various family situations, constellations, and their impacts on individual family members and the family environment. In rare cases are the social imbalances known to the clients. The need for professional help is seldom recognized by those affected and their surroundings. During my work in the children's home, I encountered children who were, on one hand, always calm and hardly noticeable, and on the other hand, stood out due to aggressive and dominating behavior. In conversations with the present social workers and social educators, this particularly caught my attention.
