Product details
Study paper from 2008 in the field of Psychology - Social Psychology, grade: 1.0, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Social Psychology), language: German.
Abstract: Events and situations that we cannot control often require psychological reactance. This refers to a motivational state in which we attempt to restore lost freedom. The restriction of freedom creates a state of reactance, in which a person still wants to engage in the now-prohibited activities. The strength of reactance depends on several factors. It resembles childhood defiance and is frequently encountered in everyday life. Forbidden things appear interesting. This also includes romantic relationships between two people whose love is being suppressed. When external obstacles are imposed on love, it binds.
