Consequently, the slender ideal of a woman has become a trend. This raises the question: To what extent can the persistent trend of certain groups within this particular society (to be extremely) slim be explained? Is this attributable to the fashion industry, which still has a direct connection to this issue, or do current media platforms also play a role in the dissemination of this questionable trend? To explore this question, arguments and opinions from leading designers and other relevant stakeholders were examined.
