Product details

Specialist book from 2011 in the field of History - America, language: German. Abstract: The American Century - Part 2 Return of Geo-Imperialism? examines the "new" geopolitical orientation of US foreign policy from the dissolution of the Soviet Union to the current changes in the North African-Arab region. Closely related to this is the transformation of the US/NATO armed forces as well as the Bundeswehr. On May 22, 2010, then Federal President Horst Köhler informed the German public that due to dependence on the trade balance, "in case of doubt, in an emergency, military action is necessary to protect our interests." This statement was indeed bold, but not new! It can be found in the Bundeswehr's White Paper from 2006 and ultimately even under Article 43 of the Lisbon Reform Treaty and is also part of it.
