Abstract: In my paper, I will summarize the axioms of communication in my own words. Paul Watzlawick identified the axioms of communication in 1974. Watzlawick studied philosophy, philology, and psychology and was a professor in El Salvador and at Stanford University. To describe the five axioms, it is important to note from the outset that the terms communication and behavior are used here as practically synonymous. I will explain the axioms in the following sections and illustrate them with various examples for better understanding.
