The author aims to historically capture this revival meeting in the following paper, embedding it within church history and the contemporary context, as well as examining it critically from a systematic-theological and historiographical perspective. The presentation of the biography and the revival is primarily based on American historians, while the critical examination mainly refers to European historians.
