Product details
Research paper from 2008 in the field of Earth Sciences / Geography - Economic Geography, grade: 1.7, Otto Friedrich University Bamberg, course: Seminar "Limits to Growth", language: German.
Abstract: The current economic and financial crisis painfully highlights to people that our global system is very fragile, and disturbances in one area can lead to severe disruptions in the overall system. Thus, an economic crisis is emerging from a collapsing financial market, the outcome of which is unpredictable. The fragility of the global system was already a concern for some scientists in 1970, including Dennis L. Meadows, on behalf of the Club of Rome. They were worried about the world at that time, even though it was experiencing decades of unrestrained growth. Welfare states were being expanded.
