What began as a spontaneous idea, implemented literally overnight in 1994 in Neustadt an der Orla - in sleet and wind with nearly 2,000 people - is now a traditional Thuringian event with over 10,000 hiking enthusiasts each year. Over the years, they have wandered throughout Thuringia: from A for Apolda to Z for Zeulenroda-Triebes.
