The textbook, in its second, significantly revised and expanded edition, is primarily aimed at students in the fields of electrical engineering, information and communication technology, as well as medical technology, mechatronics, and mechanical engineering at universities and universities of applied sciences in their 2nd to 3rd semesters. A foundational knowledge of the physical principles of electromagnetic processes in components and circuits is assumed. The majority of calculations are presented for the steady-state, sinusoidal time behavior of voltage and current in linear networks and are then extended to the periodic, non-sinusoidal time behavior in nonlinear components.
