Since there are hardly any large families left and an entire village no longer looks after a child, but rather parents and children are crammed together in small families, children are more than ever at the mercy of our rough edges. This makes it all the more important for fathers and mothers to be at peace with themselves. Children need parents who educate clearly, authentically, calmly, and lovingly. However, this is easier said than done. The everyday lives of many parents are filled with obligations and appointments. This book does not aim to burden them with even more work. Educating without educating means reflecting on our relationship with our children and ourselves. It’s about doing less but being more mindful. This way, we can better recognize what our children actually need. It can easily happen that we perceive our children only through the lens of our own expectations.
