The sheet music collection "Have you composed something new in the meantime?" brings together string quartets and songs by emigrants and re-emigrants such as Leo Bütow, Richard Engelbrecht, and Brigitte Schiff. Included is an audio CD featuring, among other things, a recording of the Second String Quartet by Wolf Rosenberg performed by the LaSalle Quartet. Not only individuals returned from exile to German musical life after 1945, but also compositions, writings, and recordings, ideas, and cultural practices such as performance traditions, either alongside them or in their place. This sheet music collection from the series "Continuities and Disruptions in Post-War Musical Life" gathers string quartets and songs by emigrated and re-emigrated composers, thereby highlighting the peculiarities of composing "between exile and return" as well as the accompanying culture.
