This book illustrates how the one God of Israel, whom Jesus refers to as Father, became associated with Trinitarian concepts during the early centuries of Christianity. The author describes how the doctrine of the Trinity developed in the immediate post-biblical period. Syncretistic elements between Judaism, Christianity, and Hellenism played a role in this development.
