Product details

The new edition takes into account the extensive changes to the Hamburg Building Code, which will largely come into effect in May 2018. These changes primarily concern construction product law, residential construction, and timber construction. Since construction products with CE marking will no longer be regulated in the future, a fundamental system shift in German construction product law has become necessary, which has been implemented with this amendment to the HBauO for the state of Hamburg. Another focus of this amendment is several changes that facilitate residential construction, particularly regarding attic conversions and extensions. Finally, the Hamburg building regulations further open up to timber construction. In the future, wood may be used as the main building material in buildings up to the high-rise limit. All these changes recalibrate the legal framework for construction in Hamburg, accompanied by adjustments.
