From 1741 to 1753, Johann Paul Langermann published the Hamburg Coin and Medal Pleasure. His principle was to catalog both current coins and commemorative coins, provided they were either minted in Hamburg or depicted Hamburg-related events. Otto Christian Gaedchens, the author of this work, builds upon this guideline. The result is a meticulous catalog that complements Langermann's work and makes an important contribution to numismatics. It includes numerous illustrations of coins and medals. This is a reprint of the original edition from 1854.
