This handbook and exercise book provides both a theoretical introduction to language mediation for the language pair Italian-German and shows with concrete practical examples how interlingual and intralingual language mediation can be integrated into the didactics of German as a foreign language as a fourth competence alongside reception, production, and interaction. The book offers numerous exercises and materials in a wide variety of text types for everyday informal language mediation for levels A1 to C1 and can be used in class independently of a textbook.
