The third volume of the handbook provides a systematic overview of the methods used in the German-speaking world, integrates them into neuropsychological theories, and offers a critical evaluation of the testing instruments. It covers the following areas: neuropsychological testing methods for children and adolescents, language, written language, arithmetic and number processing, intelligence tests, developmental tests, cross-domain neuropsychological test batteries, validation of complaints, medication effects on neuropsychological functions, premorbid performance level, as well as statistical methods for diagnostic practice. Each of these areas is preceded by an introductory theoretical chapter. Independent authors present the methods, outline the concepts and operationalizations used, and critically assess their theoretical significance and applicability.
