Hans Bach Skulpturen, Druckgrafik, Zeichnungen
German, Hans Bach, 2013Product details
The artist Hans Bach initially worked as a draftsman, etcher, and illustrator before turning to sculpture. Since the 1980s, he has created a notable body of expressive wooden sculptures. The central theme of the sculptor, who also served as a lecturer at the Zurich University of the Arts from 1986 to 2006, is humanity. In 2001, Scheidegger & Spiess published the first book about Bach's wooden sculptures created in the 1990s, which is now out of print, particularly focusing on his expressive female figures. The present book now provides insight into his work from the last ten years and showcases not only the sculptures but also prints and drawings.
