Product details
The work "Athanasius" by the well-known writer, author, and Catholic publicist Joseph Görres is a fierce polemic against the Prussian state. The author wrote this treatise following the capture of the Archbishop of Cologne and the Cologne Church dispute. Joseph Görres (1776 - 1848) was a strong supporter of the French Revolution and enthusiastic about the democratic movement. He was well acquainted with the writers Clemens Brentano and Achim von Arnim.
