Alfred Edmund Brehm (1829 - 1884) was a German zoologist and writer. His name became synonymous with popular scientific zoological literature through the book title "Brehm's Animal Life." The book presented here is the second reprint of the fourth, completely revised edition from 1920. In this volume, Brehm impressively and thoroughly deals with amphibians and reptiles. The author discusses the various genera and species of blindworms, salamanders, frogs, bridge lizards, turtles, and armadillos, accompanied by many illustrations and photographs. Brehm's Animal Life is a timeless masterpiece.
