In the struggle for the conquest of the air, we have two outstanding examples of how pioneers have only managed to gain recognition with great difficulty. However, we also have a rare instance here of two men who found the greatest acknowledgment from their contemporaries while still alive. The idea of conquering the air is so compelling that it resonates exceptionally well across broad segments of the population. Until now, humanity has only mastered two dimensions. Now, it has also begun to conquer the third dimension, the air. Zeppelin and Wright are the kings of the air. It is thanks to both of them that we are starting to master the air with both "lighter-than-air" vehicles and those that are "heavier-than-air." Both had to work hard for a long time before they could prove to the world the validity of their line of thought.
