Product details
The physicist Georg Simon Ohm (1789-1854) is considered one of the founders of research on electric currents. Posthumously, his name became permanently associated with electrical theory when it was decided at the first International Electricity Congress in 1881 to name the unit of electrical resistance after him. Ohm's great fame and recognition are particularly rooted in his 1827 work "Die galvanische Kette, mathematisch bearbeitet" (The Galvanic Circuit, Mathematically Treated). His mathematical treatment of electricity set new standards that were initially controversial. The book remains a classic today, offering many insights and theories on electricity.
