Product details
The German Indologist and historian of philosophy Paul Deussen (1845 - 1919) describes his eventful journey to India in this volume. With his vivid style, he brings the reader closer to his experiences during the sea voyage from Marseille to Bombay, his stay in Bombay, the onward journey to Peshawar, as well as his observations in Calcutta and the tour into the Himalayas. Deussen was a close friend of Friedrich Nietzsche and the founder of the Schopenhauer Society. Includes a map, 16 illustrations, and an appendix. This is a reprint of the original edition from 1904.
